hahaha...yes,B--you are right. They are; in fact, perhaps the MOST fascinating things on the planet; but just like gardening...one has to have a special curiosity and will to learn in order to study and cultivate friendships. Undersdtanding their behaviour is the key to success with people as well as plants, I believe.

bsewnsew - Belgium is a strange and wonderful place... After 4 years here I'm still trying to figure it all out It's an interesting place to be an "outsider" that's for sure, but the food and beauty of the architecture and gardens here makes up for any cultural oddities
acmp What takes you to Belgium? Are you going to show us photos, we would love that. It is great to travel. However we have to baby sit cows, now.. LOL Hubby been many places, like a third of the way around the world.. I only USA. But the west is great to explore. Thanks for the info. b
We're here for my hubby's job in IT. Being a photog, my job is pretty portable so here we are We're really loving being in Europe and we try to travel as much as we can but it's never often enough for me Our only babies are our very spoiled kitties and they tolerate us travelling as long as someone feeds them (although they would much rather we stayed in bed with them all the time) lol. I envy your luck.. I arent a photographer but enjoy lots of photos. Birds and animals would be a good subject. And show us the towns and most of all the way they do the flower beds an decorations. Will do. I live in the city centre but it always amazes me how many green spaces there are and how people love to garden on even the smallest of terraces. Mine's already full to overflowing. There's always room for just one more pot...
wow acm! i really enjoyed looking over your blog, and that trailor of 'Home' looks mighty powerful...tho...the real photo that caught my eye was the pics of the lobsters cooking! i grew up in Maine on the coast as a child, and i so do miss the lobsters, and digging clams, all the seafood. sjoerd, loved all three pics! wonderful! those little flowers will get you every time, huh?! keep them coming!
Thanks Bunkie! Sigh, no more lobster for me until I go home to visit in October... Saw a sad little pre-cooked lobster at the grocery store today for over 10 euro... we used to get fresh ones at the lobster pound for 5-7$ CAD. It's just not right I tell you
