What kind of peppers are they? Name? Well, I learn something new every day. I have never heard of lemon cucumbers before. Do they really taste like lemons?
Nor I, CC. Just the name, Lemon Cucumber, sounds yummy. Speaking of lemon, I'm growing Lemon Basil this year and it's DELICIOUS. It smells and tastes lemony. I love it.
Lemon Basil does sound yummy, daisybeans I have never tried growing that either. Gosh, I need to get out and about more.
the brand of peppers in that picture are, stokes poivron pepper "el jefe" is what the tag says. also i have not heard of the lemon cucumber till this year , apparently not easy to find.
I grow crystal apple cucumbers which are small, tennis ball sized, round cucumbers, very sweet and my daughter eats them whole like apples! I imagine the lemon cukes are similar. As for the peppers, you can certainly harvest some now whilst they are green - it looks from the photo that some are darker, more black? Peppers often turn blackish as they start to ripen to red. If you don't need them immediately, I would leave them on the plant, just taking them as you want them.
Thank you, this is my first time growing peppers. i actually thought they would grow as red and green . not turn from green to red . very good info. i will have to take a few off when i wake up in the morning . cant wait
whoooooo hooooooo that was one hot pepper i grew. should have had a camera for the piece i tried raw............ put it in a chili for tonight !!!!!
I don't know about wrinkle removing but I do know the Lemon Cukes make really good sweet pickles. I grew them a couple of years ago, just had to remember to pick them before they were too large to fit in the pint jars I was using.
