Yep, but the corn was bought, probably in from Florida. But it was good and tender and oh so sweet! While I was cooking the steak, a mink came walking through the yard and went into the weeds where I throw the table scraps. I had thrown some steak trimmings over there not 15 minutes before that. So he had a good July 4th meal too!

We had a good meal, too. We had barbecue pork ribs, potato salad and fresh tomato, cucumber salad and cantaloupe. We have strawberries for shortcake but we are too full. We'll have smoothies tomorrow. dooley

Cook out with my friend Marjorie and her family. Burgers, dogs, corn on the cob, grilled squash, tomatoes, potato salad ... and for dessert shortbread with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries and fresh whipped cream AND a sour cherry pie that was still warm. Watched the kids with their sparklers on the lawn. Fireworks visible over the river as I was driving home. Lovely day.

We went to a cherry festival all day. Watched a air show with planes doing acrobatics in the air. Very, very loud also as they flew over us. Went swimming in the beach. Then watched the fireworks at nite. It was fun day.
