Best way to save tomato seeds?

Hello all, I am new to this forum but glad I found it! :-D I have a question about saving seeds from your own plants... I have brandywines growing this year and I'm not sure of the best way to save the seeds from the tomatoes. Any experts that can help me out? Thanks!

Am I understanding this right that you save seeds from tomatos that are mostly still green, but has red ones on the vine?

 

It's called the breaker stage! The tomato does'nt have to be fully ripe, you can save seeds from a tomato that has just started to change color.
