I just bought a new home, and all of the walls are white/just off-white. I plan on doing most of the rooms in a beige/neutral, but want to make the dining room more dramatic/bold. The dining table is a dark brown/cappucino color, and i found a picture to hang that i want to use as the 'inspiration' for the room. I was thinking a dark red/burgandy/wine color, but am now not sure how that will fit with the picture.. any suggestions for other colors? I tend to lean toward darker/more bold colors. Thanks! Suggestions I think this room would be beautiful in a deep red. If that sounds too bold for you, instead I would suggest maybe a cream color. Hope that helps a little!
I would match the paint to the seal on the second wine bottle, and put white sheers up to let in the light!
Thanks for the suggestions! My initial thought was a deep red, so I think I'll stick to that. The color on the 2nd bottle is a good idea too, I've now got a bunch of samples and have to choose the best one! As for the sheers, that's a good idea too... i also usually have the blinds open anyway to let the light in, but was too bright for the picture!
A nice deep gold, and maybe a golden glaze over the top for a Tuscan look..you could put a golden glaze over red also.
I've just joined and seen this posting! I think a dark golden colour on one of the walls would look really nice. My response might be too late but good luck!
