Hi, I live by the Quad Cities almost to Iowa border. Having a terrible time this year. Japanese beetles and grubs eating flowers and my tomatoes have the bottom leaves turning yellow and dying and part of the stems are now turning yellow. New growth from the top still. Any suggestions. Thank You

Hi! I live in the Quad Cities when I was entering high school. It is a very nice area. I'm not sure about your weather this year. Are you having too much rain or not enough? Water may be a problem with your tomatoes. It's heat with mine. dooley

Welcome from northeast Wisconsin. Lots of things can cause the problems you're describing with your totmatos...blight, too much or too little water, too much or too little fertilizer... Mine are green but it's been too cold and too dry here for them to ripen. I can't wait to taste that first tomato from the garden!!!
Hi, there Quad cities, I have family in the Quad cities on the Iowa side. The beetles just pick them off and put them in soapy water and check your tomatoes for spider mites. Anyway welcome from Texas former Iowan. POTTERMOORE
Hi everyone. My tomatoes are dong better. Combination of blight or leaf spot not sure which and insects. We are having a lot of rain and cool temps but hopeful they will ripen soon. Have a ton of green ones. I have mulched the garden to keep the soil from splashing up on the plants and keep the bad pruned off. Using a fungicide and insecticide sparingly seems to be working.
