A lot going on around my pool area right know. I am building a new pergola and putting in a pathway around the pool. This is the typar weedblock material I use under all my landscaping. Cathey wants me to fill this area with white rock and place terra cotta stepping stones for the path. We will see.

Oh my that is already beautiful and I can just imagine what it's going to look like once the pergola, rocks and stepping stones are all in place. Do show us more photographs as you go along won't you?

Wonderful! I so admire gardeners with a plan. It looks good and you are just getting started.

I had a Bradford Pear tree in my front yard removed last week and a neighbor down the street stopped and ask me why I cut my tree down. Little did she know that I had spent many hours sitting in my rocking chair on the front porch studying and planning what I wanted my front yard to look like later own and the Bradford was not in my plan. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards before taking two steps forward.

Your pool area looks marvelous, Grandaddy. I favor the pergola too. I love to grow vines over structures. You've made a wonderful start!
