well, i just have two blooming and thought i'd share them with you clerodendron thomsoniae http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/22 ... 0362PtkOUP clerodendron ugandese http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/25 ... 0362wqIAYA love them both. are exotic so will live only in pots. some of you may have them as hedges calin
Oh Calin both of your plants are lovely but your Bleeding Heart Vine/Clerodendron Thomsoniae is my favourite. How I wish I had beautiful indoor plants like yours. I have many and varied house plants from a Clivia Lily to a Devil's Ivy. I have them on any available surface that I can put a pot on (and that OH will allow me to have them) so my house looks a bit like a jungle.
thanks eileen. i also have lots of pots everywhere. i am thinking about giving some awayto friends around cause when winter comes i won't have so much space. i also love that clero. saw it first in taiwan when i lived and worked there. came home, and saw it on a romanian forum and decided i wanted it. and a friend sent me a cutting. cool, huh?
Oh to have friends like that!!! I'm going to keep an eye out at our nurseries and garden centres to see if I can pick up one of those gorgeous clero for myself. I just have to have one NOW - if not sooner.
I just love that Clerodendron ugandese!! Looks like small blue butterflies To answer the question "Where do you SHOW OFF your houseplants???"; well, here :-D That Lophophora williamsii is a windowsill plant I have
hey christer nice cactus. i try to stay away from them. grow too slow, need sun (and all my windows are on NORTH) and i never have the few ones i have actually bloom but... good 4 u! calin
hi eileen, ur post made me giggle because that is exactly what my house looks like at the moment, anything that can hold a plant does and will. in fact, my friends have affectionately named my place "the jungle". it creeps a few people out though lol. ♥
oh wow, I love ur clerodendron thomsoniae!!! am most definitely on the hunt for one now. what a brilliant plant, I'm most definitely in ♥. great pics, calinromania! ♥
thanks. and well, if you don't want to spend on a grown plant, someone will def. help you with a cutting or 2. i find them easy to root... so... it is a vine but can be pruned frequently and kept bushy. Calin
