Welcome, this evenings menu comes straight from Italy, so welcome to Emmas Pizzeria.

Firstly we took a bunch of Roma plum tomatoes and roasted them slowely with garlic and basil until they could be mashed into a smooth puree.

This is smeared over a sheet of puff pastry, but not to the edges. On this, a scattering of mozerella and basil leaves, finally topping the pizza with a layer of thickly sliced beefsteak tomatoes.

Bake this until brown and puffy and enjoy a slice with a fruit glass of red wine.

Scandulous. This is just scandulous.

Actually there oughta be a law against such alimentary stimulation.

Yeah, okaaaaaaay...it looks delicious. Did the neighbours come over the fence?

I don't usually like pizza but yours sounds and certainly looks, delicious Emma. I may well use puff pastry the next time I make one for Ian and snitch a bit to try it. I never even thought to use pastry before instead of the dough base I usually bake. Thanks for the tip. :-D
