Today is very grey and I need a bit of sunshine. So I found some yellow blooms from March through August. They're like sunshine to me. Crocus: Saxifraga: Helleborus: Mini-narcissi: Primula auricula: Trollius: Oregano: Orchid: Ranunculus: Azalea: Tree peony: Sedum: Oenothera: Lilium "Shocking": Ligularia: Inula: Calendula: Sunflower: Yellow really helps when the day's grey.
What a nice batch of yollowness today! I just lookled my eyes right out of my head at these. That ranunculus was one of the special one for me. I enjoyed seeing the insects too, along with the Sedum and Oregano foto's. Yep...all in all, a very nice bunch of yellow.
Thank you for liking the yellow. Eileen, the azalea shown is mine, but still lives at my mother's. They are deciduous and have the loveliest fragrance. I believe it's some sort of wild form that sprouted from a root another azalea was grafted on.
Droopy it sounds as though you and I may have the same azalea then. Mine just appeared one year. I did have another azalea in that spot but it died never to return so maybe this one came from the root stock. :-? It's certainly a lovely addition to my garden. :-D
I love yellow too...it is so cheerful! My favorite today has to be your Ranunculus, how beautiful! How large is the bloom?
Thank you all for liking my "Sun replacement". It's nearing two inches across when it's properly developed, Netty. And it blooms for a rather long time too. The name's a tongue breaker: Ranunculus constantinopolitanus 'Plenus' (Constantine Buttercup)
