Bag toss boards (CORNHOLE)

I am building bag toss boards or CORNHOLE as it is called around here. I have built six sets so far and have matching bags. Cornhole and Ladder Ball are two of the most popular tailgating games and it football time in Tennessee.

We were just playing this at my niece's 16th birthday party on Saturday! They look good! Do you make the ladderball things too?

 

Yes Daisybean I build Ladder ball sets also. I bought one to carry to the beach with us and we loved playing it. I wanted one that was built a little stronger so I built my own. Both games are very fun to play and every one can play. I even have rubber balls I am selling with my Ladder Ball games so the little kids can play or the game can be played indoors.

Do they come apart to store? They look great.

 

Yes every thing is glued together except the fitting where the upright and the base connect. This allows them to be taken apart in two pieces. They will hang on the wall or stand up, and are very light which makes them easy transport.

 

They can be left unglued, I just prefer having my joints glue together to make them a little more ridgid. The ones you buy at the store are not glued together.

We play the ladder ball game at the nursing home where I work but I've never heard of Cornhole. Is it similar to bean bag toss? You are a very talented builder.

 

Great work. Those look very nice. I've never tried my hand at board construction but I make a ton of cornhole bags.

 

Looks like they would make great Christmas gifts.

 

Those look really professional. My friends and I made one using only a thick piece of plywood and some lumber. Here on Long Island, we call it Bags.
