Guys I wonder if someone could please help with a problem? I have a couple of Eryngium Alpinum plants that are starting to sprout (shoot)and bearing in mind it's now December I dont think its advisable to plant them out now because of frosts. So is there some way to hold them over to next spring bearing in mind I dont have a greenhouse. Any thoughts on the question would be gratefully received. Stu. :-?
Do you anywhere in your home that you could store them until the risk of frost is past? If not then maybe a garage or an outside building that's frost free would be a good idea.
Thanks for replying eileen and droopy, should I put them in pots of compost( John Innes) and keep them in the porch (frost free) till next spring? If so should I water them or leave them dry? Thanks. :-D
Hi Droopy,no I didn't sow them indoors I just left them in a paper bag as I was given them and left them in a closed porch and totally forgot about them till last week.
