Visitors to the window ledge

    The last few days I put birdseed on the brick ledge by the kitchen window hoping to get some close up photos. I was home most of the day today & got a few good ones. Late in the day, the cardinals arrived which suprised me.

    I was suprised to see the mourning dove, they usually stay on the ground.

    I think my mystery bird is a junco.

    I think you should keep putting out seed on the window ledge. :-D You've managed to attract a good number of different species already. I hope someone can ID your mystery bird for you.

    Beautiful birds, we have a Mom and Dad Cardinal along with their male offspring hanging around the garden this winter.

    You are correct, your mystery bird is a Slate-colored Junco
    A really pretty little bird.

    I think they are using that bird seed as a reaason to look in your windows! I so enjoy seeing the bird pics...

    Nice shots! I like the 6th photo ~ looks like that male Cardinal is peeking in your window at you!
