Greetings Gardeners I look forward to meeting you, hearing your stories and being able to share some inspiration and answers to some of your organic gardening and permaculture questions. I have been homesteading for the last 30 years in a remote valley in the mountains of Northern California. Living a sustainable life in what some people would call a "Permaculture Homestead". I have been living and teaching organic gardening and sustainable living skills to a few interns and apprentices. I now want to share my knowledge and love of organic gardening more widely and have gotten a computer and web site to help me in that endeavor. Think Global, Plant Local and keep in touch Farmer Dave

Hi Farmer Dave, I'm new to garden stew also. I'm central california, Ceres, CA to be exact. I'm still learning to get around on this site. Seems like fun. I love growing tomatoes, and all kinds of flowers.
Welcome to the Stew from the very wintery coast of mid-Norway. Please show some photos of your garden, flowers, shrubs, veggies, wildlife, even the grass if you have time. I've only got white outside and yearn for green and colourful. Hop in and make yourself at home.
Hi Farmer Dave, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. We would love to see pictures of your garden. I used to want to homestead, when I was much younger, but hubby was really not into it so I have been turning both the back and front yard into gardens instead.
