I need some help picking a small sweet pepper for growing. I had found 2 different varieties that I was going to try but no one sells them locally; Yum Yum Gold and Gypsy. I don't want to order a seed until I know it should do well here and find someone who has experience growing them. All I want is a sweet pepper that puts out lots of peppers for eating and for salads through the summer and hopefully part of the fall. Since you asked, last year I planted some pepper plants from the nursery that I thought were sweet but turned out to be hotter than hot. Didn't think that comment would be very helpful to you! Shows how much I know!

Those sweet pickle peppers look really nice. Could do well here and look small enough I might be able to grow some indoors. Might even be able to take the plants inside when it starts getting cold.
Do you want a small plant or a plant with small peppers? I grew sweet red cherry peppers from Pinetree garden Seeeds last year. It is small 1-2" friuts. They tasted good and were small for just a salad or to stuff for appetizers. The seeds germinated well and grew well for me in the ground as well as in pots. https://www.superseeds.com/products.php?cat=124 I saved some seeds but I also grew other peppers and they were open polinated so I don't know how many of the seed will turn out to be the small ones.
I want a pepper that will grow lots of peppers in a pot/container. Don't care if the plant is small, gonna have some 20+ gallon containers hopefully, half of 55 gallon buckets. I just want a sweet pepper and one that produces a lot of peppers thoughout the summer and will grow well in my area where I rarely get truely warm summers for more than 30-45 days in a row.
Have you tried Mini Red Bell and Mini Yellow Bell Peppers? I love them...they are very sweet and so attractive for salads.
