I had not see any blue birds since our snow in Dec. when I had 3 in my birdbath. I was able to get a photo today but he was pretty high in the tree so I had to crop it way down.

A few minutes later I captured this photo. I thought the bluebird was back but it could be a robin...what do you think?

I think you managed to capture both a bluebird and a robin. Well done - great pictures. :-D

Such nice fotos, Gail. That sunlight is lovely on them, isn't it?

The second foto seems to be a north american robin to me. It's the white around it's eye and the broadness if it's breast that make me think so. His beek seems ro be yellow as well.

I agree it is a robin. It was so high up in the tree I could not identify either until I cropped it. It was just ironic the robin showed up right after the bluebird. I have not had many robins in my yard but the last few days I have seen them everywhere else I go.

Last year we had 2 broods of blue birds that were nesting in a birdhouse in my yard. I just put it back up this weekend I repainted & cleaned it out hoping they would be back this year... maybe they were scouting it out. :-D
