Jude, my sisters' puppy (shes about 10 months old) likes to eat my plants. She ate half my lilac, 3 potted asters, 3 strawberries and the blackberry I planted 2 years ago. She's the reason Im building a raised berry bed with chicken wire around it! I really want to make the backyard a beautiful garden, but I dont want to have to chicken wire the whole thing!

Jen I've just posted a reply to another post about cats pooing in a member's garden. This plant is also affective when dogs foul or eat your plants. Maybe putting some around the plants you want to protect could be your answer.

Try spraying the plants with a pepper spray. It is hot and does not taste good. PLUS it will keep bugs away.

I make my own. Take a liter spray bottle, fill mostly with water and then add several tablespoons of TABASCO sauce, hot sauce, habenaro suace. I also add some hot pepper flakes. Shake and spray.

    Good luck.

( I also use this mix to keep the tomato horned worm from eating my plants)

The pepper spray or bitter spray for us has worked. Our dog who is only 9 months old got one taste of the spray and called it quits with the plants.

Well, I tried a mixture of water, hot sauce, black pepper and chili pepper. Our older dog took one sniff and left the room...Jude, however, LIKES it! She drinks the mixture...good grief >_<
