So, I bought some $4 spray and it was just that... crap. I have no idea what to use and what is a reasonable amount to pay, and what is too much. Does anyone suggest a brand that's priced under $10 that I can use on all of my babies? Sorry if this topic has already been started. thedmg ( photo / image / picture from IndigoAsh's Garden ) thedmg2 ( photo / image / picture from IndigoAsh's Garden )
I do not use chemicals I use dish liquid and Veggie oil seems to help I'm sure others have homemade ideas. The reason I don't use anything is it kills butterflies bees and our good things.
Oh good ideas!!! Can you tell me how you use those products on them? I thought the oil would clog the pores and kill them.
My neighbor uses Neem Oil -- it helps with bugs, fungus, mites, etc. It's vegetable oil based, I think... there are a lot of links if you google it -- here is one to start: http://www.planetnatural.com/site/neem-oil.html
Neem oil is organic but effective only on certain 'bugs'. It is important to know what kind of insect is attacking your plants. Call your local County Extension Service (they are in the phone book). They can help you with the right solution to any of your gardening questions, and it is free. All County Extensions are affiliated with a land grant college in your state. Their purpose is to help you with your gardening and farming problems.
