I was just sitting in the shade enjoying the beautiful afternoon and kept noticing this tiny little blue Dragonfly sitting on a flower. Hubby said that it had been hanging around all day. So I told him, "Watch, as soon as I get the camera it'll fly away." Well... it did. But quickly returned. So I was fortunate to get a photo of him (even though it's not very great).

The photo is very good, I love the shade of blue she chose to wear for her picture.
I have been 'chasing' one around the front yard for days with the camera but he thinks it's a fun game to flit off the second I raise the camera.

We have those delicate little Dammselflies here too Cheryl. I love watching them flitting around the pond area. We also get beautiful bright red ones as well as large golden dragonflies. So glad your litle lady stayed around and allowed you to take a photograph of it for us. :stew2:

Nice photo, I don't think I have seen one that shade of blue.

Well caught! :D I've tried to photograph dragonflies too. Sometimes I manage to, but most times they're gone and now and then I still feel sorry for the photo I didn't get. :D

A blue one like that sat on Gabriella's tail last year. Can you imagine the lovely blue against her white tail? Just like a littel bow. But that one flew too. :(

I was very lucky to get the photo... not because it flew away... but because I had to zoom in to the max to get the shot and really couldn't tell if it was in the shot or not through the view finder. So I just took a bunch and hoped for the best!
