I love our Hostas. It really took off this year. It is mostly like the Hostas that you have in the first photo. It is blooming right now. Last year was the first year it ever bloomed. I've had it for about 5 years now.

I also love them. My favorite is a fragrant one I got from my Mom named Royal Standard. It has rather larger leaves with white flowers, and smell so wonderful. It can tolerate quite a bit of sun. My Hostas are just starting to poke their little heads out of the ground. So it will be a while before I get to enjoy mine.

I haven't seen any poking out just yet. Looking at my post above from 2010 makes me laugh. I have way more than 17 different Hostas now :)

    Welcome to the hostaholic club!

Say, Netty, how many have you got now? Do tell, I'm very curious.

On last count I tallied up around 70 different ones in our garden. They range from tiny, teeny Hosta "Minima" to huge Hosta "Empress Wu". I don't know if all our jewels have survived this winter, but I hope they did.

I will have to count Droopy, but I do know it's not even close to 70! I wish you were closer so I could come see all yours! :)
I moved my 'Empress Wu' last year because it just wasn't growing. I hope it does better this year.

Ok Droopy, I attempted to count my Hosta varieties today, and I think I have 42 different ones. There are doubles of a few as well. A far cry from your 70!
