*nods lots* I also work at a greenhouse...family owned and I live next door. It seems every day something new is blooming sweetly, enticing me to take it home. There is a lovely new Iris out back in my work area waiting for it's new home...Enchanted Night...sunny yellow with orchid-pink falls...I simply couldn't resist it the first day it bloomed.
I've been doing mostly okay this spring but with the moving and clearing up we haven't had much time for shopping. I managed to get out last week with just plant food for the ones that I have. The boy next door mowed for us over the weekend though so now I have places to plant a little. I'd better just stay home and decide what to do with the ones I moved. dooley
I have the same problem....I went and bought plants and I don't even have the potting soil or the pots ready. I am worried they will quit getting things in here or not enough to pick from. Our weather has been cool and now this week is finally a warm up. Hopefully no more frost again here. I have looked at the Japanese Maple but I really don't have the space. They are so beautiful.
I have not had that problem in the nursery however, I am sure it is about to start. I think I am overwhelming my husband with projects that I want to get done. I have so many ideas of things I want to do.

Congratulations on your "Empress Wu" Netty. Well done! I wouldn't have been able to pass her either. Heck, I can't remember how many kilometers we drove last year to get one, but we did cross a few borders. Kay, I love your hostas and heucheras. They're so addictive, both of them. You'll grow very fond of "June", I'm certain. Your "Loyalist" looks a lot like "Fire and Ice". I really like our "Fire and Ice". Well, truth be told I haven't met a Hosta yet I didn't like. And I'm one of those people who go out with the intent to buy only mulch, or soil, or a couple of annuals, and end up digging up yet another couple of square metres of lawn. *sigh* Ain't gardening wonderful!
I have that Heuchera 'Caramel' also, Kay...in my shadey plot. Mine is a nice bronzy colour now and survived the winter alright. I was well chuffed. You have a very nice selection of them. Those hostas that you showed are real lookers! Way to go Netty!!! I'm proud of you. Keep up the good work. hahahaha. Really. Spoken like a true gardener, Droopy. I know how that goes all too well. Why, I can't even go across the road to pick up ball of garden twine from the garden center without coming back with an armload of plants. What are we like!
When I was younger I wasn't much interested in hostas, but now I find all the different color variations and sizes and shapes are fascinating. I have some coral bells similar to the last one that I really like, but Im still working on being interested in the other kinds *lol*
Yes I have lost control many times this year. japanese maple Kousa Dogwood. DIdnt find the wu yet.LOL You did help yourself. barb
Oh boy, I must be making you all proud this year...I picked up a beautiful basket of Fuchsia "Midnight" today as well as some Geraniums and a few things to fill my window box. And a few Salvia. And some veggies. Oh yes, and some hot pink Portulacca
