As usual I forgot to make a marker for all the new Iris I planted last fall so I don't know which one this would have been. But does anyone have any idea why it would have done this. What there was of a bloom has since turned brown and mushy. It's not a dwarf, it was supposed to be a 3-4 foot tall Bearded Iris. Stunted Iris. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )
Could it be an iris borer or some other pest? I had one that did some really weird stuff and was told that it had been hit with an herbicide like Round-Up. Don't see how it could have been exposed to Round-Up and lived through it but the guy who identified my problem was a whole lot smarter than I am!
I did have some tulips that were very short the first season for them...now this second year they were taller. Maybe weather conditions???I had an allium that was all deformed and the rest were fine. Maybe just a freak of nature...
I agree . Maybe just because of weather conditions . It may affects the growth of plants and flowers . If it does reach your expectations of how far they would grow . Maybe blame it to the conditions of weather . ehe
