Netty what an absolute beauty!! I wouldn't have been able to resist either Netty. Is it hardy by any chance 'cause I feel a trip to a garden centre coming on.
it sound like in the Confessions of a shopaholic ) at least your not buying expensive clothes all the time and you spend you money on what you like the most - plants!
I agree Ripped blue jeans are the dress of the day in my yard. I went out of control of buying some bricklike edging for my one bed this am. And 4 more bags of Red Lava rock.. I like the look. Looked at the plants , but I own most of them.lol red, white, blue seems to be the choice of plants today. I resistd all temptations.. Guess I am a flunky
I had that happen once...stopped at a small greenhouse I'd found in my travels. I couldn't find anything I didn't already have! You know you have a serious problem when THAT happens
Actually, I have been very good this year, 2 six packs of torenia and a little yellow jacobinia, but that's only because I was given all those daylilies and I had to plant them.
Ooh! I didn't know lemon verbena blooms! I have a big pot of it and I just love the fragrance of the leaves. Can't wiat to see the blooms! That's very sweet that they gave you a plant. They sure know how to take care of their good customers.
Yesterday I stopped in a garden shop to pick up ONE PACKET OF BEAN SEEDS... I left with the beans, a packet of cosmos, two catnip plantlets, a beautiful new plant that I can't remember the name of (really neat, I'll post a pic), a wildflower guidebook and a candle holder.... AND, the owner of the shop gave me three scarlet runner bean plants for free. I love getting things for free! Very excited about that. Also very lovely conversation with the shop owner who opened the shop after being laid off from her job... it's open 4 days a week and she also takes care of people's gardens and teaches classes and workshops.... hmmmm... she sure found a silver lining!
Last April I bought me a macopa, guava, ponkan and mango seedlings not thinking where to put them. I just planted the 3 seedlings last week and the mango is still waiting for me to plant. I Will be sending it to my moms house to be planted there.
