I know this isn't pot but it does look like it except for a few differences such as pot has four grooves that go up the shaft of the plant, the leaves on the pot plant alternate two on one side two on the other, pot has an odd odor, pot is sticky to the touch and the leaves are two toned, dark on top light on bottom, or the other way around but I think I got it right the first time. So this isn't pot but looks a lot like it so what is it? ( photo / image / picture from PillsburyDoughboy's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from PillsburyDoughboy's Garden )
looked up that plant and it could be that but how it would end up in the wooded area across the street from my house is a mystery, it seems to be a crop plant and not grown very often in the US I would guess from what I found out but maybe it is common I don't know thanks for that, anyone else have any ideas I would like several ideas so i can compare and see which is the most likely culprit.
Pot leaves I think what you have might be a Aesculus x carnea Red Horsechestnut tree. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/cons ... arnea.html
I did some looking and I do believe it is a young Horse chestnut tree as well, or something in that family group. Leaves are much to large for a canabis plant.
