It's an understated fact that Texas is a lot hotter than some here want to admit. Geeeeezzzzzzzz! Can't wait to get the help I need with my garden. 1st time gardening and blogger.
Hi and Welcome to GardenStew. You ain't seen nothin' yet, this is only May. Still have the hottest part of summer to come....August is usually the time to move into the freezer and shut the door. What part of Texas are you in?
Ohhh I know it gets hotter. I moved here last year in March, just at the end , if you will, of a 22 mos draught. I live in Live Oak, TX
Umm...where is Live Oak, TX? Close to what larger city? We have Texans scattered from north to east to south and all points between!! Again, glad to have you with us!
You aren't too far from San Angelo then. I have only been in that area once about 25 years ago and didn't really pay attention to the growing conditions then.
Hi there TexGardenGal from Scotland. We never get temperatures as high as any in Texas thankfully. I hope you'll make your stay with us a long one.
Thank you all. Wow what a nice welcome to this site. Will get to my garden woes and woo hoo's later this week. My husband and I are gonna have a BBQ. Hope you all have a happy and safe holiday. "Kuntrygal" We live practically in San Antonio TX.
OK...I thought Live Oak sounded familiar! Great area to live in. Can't wait to see pics of your garden, pets, hobbies, etc.
