I acquired this plant and need help identifying it. Looks like its having a sun or water issue. So I'd like to find out what it is, I could give it the proper care.

It has what seem to be many separate stalks with groups of leaves at the top of each. Leaves are about 5" - 8" long, narrow to medium width. Mostly green with red on the bottom of leaves, and trim the top of the leaves.

I thank you for your help.

Reminds me of a ginger I've seen before.

Wow, I'm not sure how this thread is receiving so many views. Somebody out there has got to know what it is, and help me out by identifying it. :-D

    Take care,

Frank, it tripled for me every time I looked at it if that helps...from 1 to 3 to 9 and so on.

Also, I have the same plant so I would like to know too.

Hey Flowerfreak22, Glad to hear somebody else has the same plant. What do you think about (calinromania) in stating "it looks like a red dracaena, or Cordyline terminalis."?

To me i don't see a resemblance in the google images of "red dracaena". I do however think it does looks very similar to the images of "cordyline terminalis". However in most of the pictures i see, the leafs seem to bloom all the way down each stem/branch. As where mine seems to only bloom at the top of each stem/branch.

What do you think? You think (calinromania) may have locked it down for us?

    Thanks,
    ~K
