I have been wanting one for as long as I can remember but never found one I could afford.
This one showed up at our favorite thrift store, price was right. I haven't gotten everything in it yet, will finish that tomorrow and my kitchen is getting pretty cramped now but I am happy.

Not extremely old, but I love it ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )

Very cool , you can distress it, paint it cream sort of like the bread box beside it.Then add a glaze to antique it ,and walla an old piece that will fit in wonderfully... :sete_011:

What a find!! :smt026 My mother had a cupboard just like that and it was one of the most useful pieces of furniture in her kitchen. Wish I'd taken it when we cleared her house but I wasn't thinking straight at the time. :(
I know you're going to find it invaluable Toni and you'll be amazed at just how much it will hold.

Very attractive with lots of storage. It reminds me of a modernized hoosier cabinet.

Good for you!!! I'd love to have something like that! It does look useful :-D Don't you wonder why they don't make cool stuff like that anymore?

I am really looking forward to getting some good use out of it. Eileen, sorry the one your mother had got away from you.

I won't be refinishing this baby, it perfectly fits my style of decorating as it is ;) Refinishing it would change it complete.

Nope, not a pie safe, those are cabinets usually with two full length doors, shelves for the pies and have either fine mesh wire or punched tin on the doors.

It appears to be a copy of a Hossier cabinet called a Single Hoosier but not made by Hoosier company.

I got the new cabinet organized today. Jam, Jelly, pickles and empty jars in the top. Baking ingredients in the next section.

Bottom section holds more empty jars, the fire extinguisher, empty wine bottles waiting for the Blueberry wine to be ready for bottling and the food dehydrator

The drawer has some odds and ends and my special candy collection ;) But like all the drawers in my kitchen it will slowly fill up with stuff.
