    Hi,

When I was repotting a plant (which I haven't been able to identify, in fact I put it up on the Plant ID forum), i noticed some white round nodule like things on the roots. Attaching a pic (although it's not very clear).

Any idea what it is? Is it a good or a bad thing for the plant?

It's a root fungus (not harmful to plant).

In symbiosis, two organisms live in close association to the benefit of both.

A bit complicated to explain on her.

The symbiotic association between plant roots with fungi (of many species) is termed mycorrhiza, meaning 'fungus-root'.

This form of fungus is not a pathogen so it doesn't harm the plant.

Sometimes you may find long hair roots growing and like you, globes that look like mold.

As long as the plant is fine, no worries.

If you feel better, you can use a fungicide to kill it off.
