I had a couples wedding shower for my daughter yesterday and did all the flower arrangements using flowers from my garden except for some gypsophila and brown-eyed chrysanthemums that I purchased. Here are the arrangements I made. zinnia & gypsophilia ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Knock out roses & babysbreath ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Knock out roses & babysbreath ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) The angle I took this photo caused the red roses to reflect in the water. The water is clear. ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) My daughter Kindra & her fiance James. ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) A friend of mine baked the cake, it was awesome. Orange velvet with orange filling and a light cream cheese frosting. Yummy!!! I am taking today off after cooking and preparing for the past week. Fourty-one days until the wedding!
Gail, The flowers are beautiful!I can't decide which I like best. Flower arranging is another of your talents for sure! What a nice picture of your daughter and fiance. I'll bet you are all getting excited for the big day!
Your arrangements are gorgeous! It makes them more special knowing they came from your own garden I'll bet.
I love the Knockout roses with the Babysbreath - the red and white together is simply gorgeous. In saying that though all of the flower arrangements are really lovely. You certainly have a flair for flower arranging Gail. :-D Kindra and her fiance James look so much in love. I can't wait to see them both in their wedding finery. :-D
My goodness, Gail--those are some startling examples of flower arranging. Chapeau! I especially liked the red and white one. My fav colours for flower bouquets. It was thoughtful to include a foto of your daughter and fiancé...or maybe not so thoughtful as proud. chuckle. Who wouldn't be--they look nice together.
Wowie Zowie!!!! You did a GREAT job!!! I love all of them, bet she did too :-D That cake sounds delicious!! Any way I could possibly get the recipe?? Orange cake is my fav!
I thank you all for the wonderful comments. I do love to create flower arrangements. We just got back from wedding planning in Atlanta. I will post a photo of the bouquet the florist made for her bridal shoot later today. :-D
So, Gail, when are you changing careers? Gosh, you're talented. Those arrangments look good enough to eat, all of them. So does the cake, by the way. You've got a lovely daughter and a handsome son-in-law-to-be. They look very happy togheter. I always go all fuzzy when looking at photos like this. *dabbing a tear out of the corner of my eye*
