Hi all, Wasn't sure where this should go really, but I'm going to Kings Heath Park next week in Birmingham for the Birmingham Gardeners' Show. I'm going the Saturday bu I know it's on Sunday too. Great event. Garden experts share their advice and answer your questions. Christine Walkden is one of them! Love her. There's also some wonderful floral displays - I know one of them is this year's Help for Heroes Road to Recovery garden which won silver at Chelsea. Anyway, worth checking out at least. Details are at www.birmingham.gov.uk/gardenersweekend Toodles, Tommie moderator's note: moved topic to more appropriate forum
Oh I do sooo envy you Tommie. How I would love to be there in Birmingham with you. Please don't forget to take a camera with you so that you can show us lots of great piccies. Have fun and thoroughly enjoy yourself. I hope you manage to get a few words with Christine Walkden. :-D
I'll sit with Eileen and be envious. I'd have loved to attend something like that, but Birmingham is a bit too far for a fair I'm afraid. Enjoy yourself, and then enjoy yourself a bit more, just for me.
Tommie, It seems there is a wave of envy coming your way! I do second the request that you take your camera and share with us so we can at least vicariously enjoy the flower show. There is nothing like that within hours of us--boo hoo! Let us know what you saw, whom you spoke with, and what you learned.
Hahaha! Alot of envy indeed going on around here! Tis a lovely outdoor gardening show - just hope the weather holds out on us. The planted replica helicopter that going to be there is just amazing - saw a picture of it in the paper last friday and am getting very excited. I'll take pics, rest assured, and share them with you all. Take care, Tom (thanks for being so friendly everyone too)
Okay Tom, we are eagerly awaiting your photos, description of the show, and hearing what you enjoyed most. C'mon, give us another reason for envy!
