The weather turned a bit wintry early this morning. After drinking tea, I went back into the bedroom to make the bed, and what to my wandering eyes should appear.... I blinked, rubbed my eyes and pinched myself! Yep, I was really seeing the scene--All the Butternut squashes with little knitted hats. Ok then Droopy--when and more to the point--HOW did you do it?!
Well, ehm, I've got this old broom I haven't used for a while... And your cats were very helpful with assisting too... The result was nice, yes?
Yessss...I see that innocent toe-moving body language, but I'm not fooled for a moment. The old broom trick, eh? Are you trying to tell me that you are flighty? Well, I don't buy that for a moment, Miz D. Having said that, one never knows what secrets lie in the water pools and caves up there in Norge. If you ask me, you recruited help from your pal under the bridge...perhaps a band of 'em. I think that your action was sneaky and deft. It was done with precision and great stealth. I can appreciate good work even when I am the dupe. Well done, you. Now....as for the little furballs who (used to) live here--The punishment for treason is death by hanging....Mmm-Hmmmm.....Here kitty, kitty, kitty....
Dooley, don't tempt me. Hey, Sjoerd, don't you do anything bad to your kitties. They were under a spell after all and had no sense whatsoever about what they actually did. I think... And just to put you straight the most helpful creatures aren't trolls at all. But the little people underground might be persuaded to help out, IF you ask nicely and IF you use the right incentive. (Wonder if they liked the bacon pancakes and the quince jelly.)
I'm glad you folks are enjoying this (as much as I am). DOOLEY--No, no...puh-LEEEEZ. Puh'leez don't tempt her for another visit. Oh yeah DROOPY...yeah, sure--take it up for those feline fruitcakes. Give them the excuse that they are looking for to put forth a plausable denial. Our courtrooms are full of such evasive pleas. "Under the influence", does not fly with me, I shall disallow that one. Ok, I get it. Trolls would not help. Good for them...but the little underground beings--Hmmmm. I shall have to be on the look-out for them. But what did you say??!!... "Hope they liked the pancakes and quince jellyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!! AWKKKK--*running off, hands in my hair, in the direction of the pantry to count jars*
Trolls may not be helpful but if you promise to share the booty with them, they might be up to doing some sneaking around. This little guy was found recently trying to get back into Norway with half a dozen rolled up socks stuffed under his helmet. He still won't say what he was doing or where he was, but did mention something about working in cahoots with a lady on a horse. Troll from Norway ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )
