That does sound really good. I used to make it something like that but not I have to make a low sugar kind and it's good but not as good as yours. I'll trade with you.

    mm-mmm-mmm-mmm-MMMM!
I do lurve a good bread pudding. When I lived in Mexico there was this certasin pastry shop that I would regularly visit to but a loaf.
My-oh my, was that ever good.
The word for it there was, "budin". They knew what I would be taking away with me the moment that I walked through the door. Well, the budin was a given, but I chose other pastries as well...and bread, of course.

Funny how Bread puddings should come up now as we made one last week. The recipe you give however, is nothing like the one which we know as Bread pudding. To us B.P is more like a slicable cake than anything else and tastes like a less rich Christmas pudding.

The crusty part on top with the sauce is my favorite part too, Margie. You and I would have a good time with a bread pudding, I can tell! I believe if Sjoerd and Palustris were there too, it would be a great party.

Sadly I would not be able to eat your version of Bread pud though, far too much lactose in it for me. Have to stock up on Gaviscon before I tried and probasbly after too. Shame.

Ahhh... what a shame, Palustris--Oh well, I would be willing to help you out and eat your portion as well as my own--if that's alright. ;)
We wouldn't want to hurt the cooks' feelings, would we? haha

My mouth is just watering now.
I am watching my food intake like a hawk and cannot just indulge anymore since I have gained a number of unwanted pounds up to the point where my body feels a bit uncomfortable in my clothing. (Note that I say my body and not me for I love eating pudding) I always tell myself - input should match output, but when I read this thread...
Your recipe seems real easy to make - Ooh I am so tempted.
