Oh Denee I love the color of my Canna . I am still digging and potting all of yours .I sure hate to try to ship them.I'm afraid they will be destroyed in transit.I can still do what we talked about.
Oh forgot I was so excited over seeing one of my plants .I loved all your pictures .Your flowers are just beautiful. All of them.
I was afraid it would die because I had such a hard time digging it up but it proved me wrong! If you water the plants before you ship them, they will be fine. No worries. I worried the first I shipped a live plant. It will be fine.
8) love the pic's especially the orange canna.I have one very tall. Could be the stem just out grew the leaves as a fluke (I don't think so). Were I got mine was full of tall ones. Next year I'll see what happens . Well, any way back to your beautiful flowers they are great. When you ship do u use plastic bags on the plant for moisture :?: I have one I'd like to ship.
Goodness, look at those clouds - beautiful shapes. We really, really need "smell-a-round" here, so we can sniff the flowers when we look at them - they are beauties.
I have the gnomes working round the clock in the lab Prim. If they make any progress I will let you know
Heres what I do I get most of the dirt off the roots by soaking them in water. Then take a paper towel and wet it down...DONT WRING IT OUT! Wrap around the roots of the plant. Then wrap newspaper around the wet paper towel..this is to help hold the papertowel in place and hold in the water. Then take a sandwich baggie and place the wrapped roots inside the baggie and wrap the baggie around tight. I use only rubber bands to hold the baggie in place. Some use tape but I found trying to get tape off a baggie can cause damage to the plant.
