Saw this in a gardening magazine last month and since I have this thing about collecting small terra cotta pots with absolutely no purpose in mind other than I like the little things, they were perfect. The ball is a clear glass ornament that I poured crafters acrylic paint into and swirled around to coat. I used Gorilla Glue to hold the pots together and a thin steel in the ground and up thru the holes in the pots to keep it from falling over. The insides are not dried yet but I just had to take a photo of how it will look. I have pots and balls enough for three more, the other balls are purple, red and light blue. I might do some painting on the pots to decorate them too. Totem in mint ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )
Well Toni--you've done it again. The things that yopu come up with are just amazing. This is put together nicely, and the result looks quite good. The mint looks so good drooping over the edge of the base. Well done--yet agaun.

Thanks you all. I have been scrounging thru the shed and back room rounding up more unused pots. That one is pretty short and I think I will leave it in the pot of mint. Deanna, eyeballs is large pair of ceramic binoculars I found on the end of season sale table in the garden decor section at Home Depot a couple of years ago. I thought they could keep an eye on the garden when I am not there
