Yesterday we got over a foot of snow. While helping me shovel, Ava, my granddaughter, said: "I've never seen this much snow in my whole life!" She is three. :)

And here I am, on the other side of the world - Having a kind of weather that gives perfect beach conditions!

That sounds great! There is, however, a certain pleasure in relaxing on the sofa with a good book in front of a crackling fire.

:D That girl's certainly got a way with words. :D

Your snow was on our news yesterday evening. I hope you've managed to clear it away by now.

We have lived here a long time and we are used to snow. We actually have to chuckle when we see how a few inches of snow grinds the south to a complete halt. It hardly causes a ripple in upstate New York. ;)

Little Ava looks as though she was a big help shovelling all that snow. :stew2:

We always roll our eyes when parts of England get into a tizz over a few inches of snow too. I guess we Scots are just a tad more used to the cold and snowy weather than they are.

Ava is so darn cute! It will be worth the rest home stay to have had her visit. Between the snow and the granddaughter, perhaps you ought to consider four weeks in a rest home, or a bottle of brandy, or both!

She's delightful. :D I'd go for some litres of cocoa with the above mentioned brandy mixed in. My favourite beverage when it's cold.

What did you use for snowman decor? Aquarium plant pots?

Now that sounds like a plan I can live with!

I used net pots. I use them for hydroponic growing and have tons of them. When necessary, improvise.

Pink is her favorite color. Her parents have a new home under construction and they met with the builder to choose colors for the interior. Ava selected a bright pink for the walls and a pink carpet for her room.

Ava is cute! My youngest is 7 but she still loves to play in the snow. She always insists on a carrot for the nose. I sure could do without snow!

I did not like snow when I was working, but now that I have retired I don't mind it at all. ;)
