Whew, it is just as hectic giving a party for an 84 year old as a giving one for a 4 year old. But she throughly enjoyed herself. We had a wonderful turnout. Cousins, godchild, kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids, and the very first great great grandkid. Only one of us was not there, my oldest sister, she could not come bc of her husband, he is ill. I am tired, overtired actually, but I am now in my jammies and all comfortable with a glass of tea and some tylenol in me so it will pass. Tomorrow I will be as good as new.

Thanks everyone, she was very pleased. Mom is only about 4ft 6inchs, maybe. She has a degenarative (sp) bone disease. But she was always a worker, I admire her so much, especially now knowing the pain she was in all her life, but she kept at it. She worked a very large garden, not a weed in it, washed clothes on a scrub board, no running water, I mean the hard life. Had 7 kids, raised 6, lost one at birth. She has seen some changes in her lifetime, and the stories she can tell. I feel that it was an honor to be able to do something as simple as throwing her a party, I often wish I could do more.

So glad you could do this for her. It remminded me of a Birthday party I gave for my great aunt on her 100th birthday. Sadly, at that age there are few friends and relatives left so there weren't many there but it was a surprise and she loved it. She sat and held my hand for an hour afterwards. She made it another year, then was gone.

Bethie, you gonna make my head swell. LOL
Glendann, yeah I did it, now I guess I have to catch up on some neglected things around the house, and it's back to work on Tuesday, ugh. Vacation's over.
