This was a fun creation. The water wheel on the side and the grist mill wheel on the front are from a box of items we found at a local flea market. They are parts from a vintage quilting frame. The roof is rusty tin from an old barn. We added cedar twigs and the chimney is also cedar. A rusty wire simulates smoke. I love the weathered patina in the century old barn siding, you just can't duplicate that.
Thanks for looking and have a great Day!

Wow!! Now that is a clever use of material for a birdhouse, everything goes together so well.

Oh my stars, that is so clever and cute! Honestly, the things you folks come up with--Pondlady with her mailboxes, Cheryl with her suncatchers, and now your birdhouses. Unbelieveable talent and creativity here!

I love it! Great use of old materials. And you're right... there's nothing like the look of old barn siding. Great job.

There's only one word for your birdhouse and that's - Fantastic. :D I would love to have it in my garden and I hope your birds appreciate the work of art you've created for them. Well done.
