You keep on posting those lovely pictures of plants and trees in bloom and the gorgeous countryside, and a bunch of us here on GardenStew are going to charter a plane and descend upon you! Could you identify the trees in bloom and the flowers? That way we will know what we are drooling over. Thanks for sharing your French spring with us.
Spring has indeed arrived where you are. Lovely pictures get us in the mood for spring. Thank you, Jerry
Great pics but your "Magnolia" tree looks as if it were a Dogwood Tree. Any one else seem to think so? Magnolia have shiny oval deep green leaves and bloom later in spring to summer, the blooms have a very heady aroma. The Dogwood has softer looking flowers (as yours looks)and different foliage. Keep posting we don't have anything in bloom yet except the daffodils here in Pasadena, Maryland
now i can see Jack! I love Magnolia!, Dogwoods are nice too, one of the Spring flowering trees in our area. I had this debate with my Mother-in-law, b/c her neighbor has a Dogwood and she kept calling it a Magnolia! lol! But now I can see the beautiful emerald leaves and creamy blooms in your close up picture. I like to take one bloom, because that is all you need and put it in shallow bowl of water to make a whole room smell heavenly.
Wonderful shots Jack! I knew it was Magnolia all along That is one of the first things to bloom here and I always look forward to it.
Gosh Jack you are way ahead of me here in Scotland. My magnolias are just coming into bud now. Thanks for sharing your great photographs with us all. :-D
