You keep on posting those lovely pictures of plants and trees in bloom and the gorgeous countryside, and a bunch of us here on GardenStew are going to charter a plane and descend upon you!
Could you identify the trees in bloom and the flowers? That way we will know what we are drooling over.
Thanks for sharing your French spring with us.

Great pics but your "Magnolia" tree looks as if it were a Dogwood Tree. Any one else seem to think so? Magnolia have shiny oval deep green leaves and bloom later in spring to summer, the blooms have a very heady aroma. The Dogwood has softer looking flowers (as yours looks)and different foliage. Keep posting we don't have anything in bloom yet except the daffodils here in Pasadena, Maryland :stew2:

now i can see Jack! I love Magnolia!, Dogwoods are nice too, one of the Spring flowering trees in our area. I had this debate with my Mother-in-law, b/c her neighbor has a Dogwood and she kept calling it a Magnolia! lol! But now I can see the beautiful emerald leaves and creamy blooms in your close up picture. I like to take one bloom, because that is all you need and put it in shallow bowl of water to make a whole room smell heavenly. :)
