It has been raining here so I've been editing my garden photos. The chipmunks have come out of hibernation and have been quite active. http://smilebox.com/playBlog/4d6a4d334d ... gview=true
A great Tamias Striatus story Gail. I have a yard full of those characters, they are always entertaining. Jerry
I'm sure it's frustrating to you and the birds to lose all that seed to those cute little critters, but they are adorable! Wish we had them around here.
Thanks for your comments Toni, Eileen, Jerry, C-G, Sjoerd & Droopy. They are cute but now that I've had my fun photographing them its time to get the "relocation" trap. The population is growing as new babies are entering the garden. Alvin, Simon & Theodore ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden )
If you named them they're yours. Cute little critters. If I had 8 chipmunks last year how many do I have now.........8/2=4x5=20......hmmmmmm.....relocation trap.......hmmmmmm. Jerry
I actually took the last photo in Mar 2010, that's when I bought the trap...we relocated 13 chipmunks and 2 squirrels. We had a few more squirrels in the trap but they were able to back out. My husband wanted to put orange spray paint on their backs to make sure they were not coming back!
Awwww very cute!!! I wish we had some around here but with all the cats in the neighborhood it will never happen :-?
They are cute, but I imagine they can overrun you very quickly. I enjoyed the video.. it's nice to know I'm not the only one that narrates animals thoughts.
Our neighbor's cat did in the last batch of chipmunk offspring. The little ones are not as quick as mom and dad, Jerry
