Gail you have such a beautiful garden!! I think your Duchess of Edinburgh Clematis is gorgeous and it's WHITE - a real favourite of mine. What impresses me too, apart from the well laid out planting, is the fact that your garden is also home to so much wildlife.
yes real nice garden and house there. Love all the animal pics.....i tried to save a chipmunk from a cat today but when i shewwed the cat from the chipmunk the chipmunk ran and then the cat ran after the chipmunk! The cat got the chipmunk in its mouth and started heading off but my wife came screaming at it and somehow the chipmunk made it to the forest area. Hope he wasn't too hurt..

I just realized I had not replied to all your wonderful comments. We had a break in the rain last week and I spent many hours catching up in the garden, cleaning up, dividing and planting. I really do appreciate all your comments. I love being able to share them with you all. Daisy the green shrubs under the dogwood are my endless summer hydrangea, they are full of blooms.
Those are just remarkable fotos, Gail. You have such a generous amount of land surrounding your home, and it is so well-planted and scrupously tidy-looking. Congrats on a great result--that must require an enormous amount of work.

Thanks for the nice compliments Sjoerd, gardening is a labor of love (most of the time) and I don't have to get on my bike. Thanks Jewell, I took a whole series of the baby chipmunks emerging from the borough for their first romp. Philip, how many would you like? Once the new babies were out and about we had to begin our annual relocation program. We trapped about a dozen, they just overrun the garden and can be very destructive. They are fun to watch and we still have more than our share of Chip & Dales.
