Just sharing a small caterpillar I saw at the Butterfly Trail. I saw a larger one the other day, about 8cm long. At first I did not notice it because it was resting on the underside of a green leaf. However, it caught my attention when it wriggled very hard to get rid of a few weaver ants trying to attack it.

A moth with some unusual characteristics, raiding bee hives and making sounds. I wonder how many creatures can get in and out of a bee hive unscathed? Nice picture and good observation as it appears to have good camouflage.

Metamorphose is alive in all things, some change a lot (your catipiller) and some ever so subtle.
The skull on it's head uncanny.

At first I thought, "what a strange name", but once seeing the moth...pretty much self-explanatory.

It is indeed a beauty! Thanks for the link. Jodie Foster has it on her lips, found on the movie poster of The Silence of the Lambs.
