I liked the different aspects of your and Molly's riverside walk.--the wildflowers and moths were nice to see, as was the lay of the land.

    Good posting.

Molly seems to be thoroughly enjoying being outdoors after the rain. Her expression says it all - sparkling eyes and a big doggy grin.

I love to see photographs of wild flowers and have dedicated part of my back garden to growing a variety of native species. The latest ones to appear are what we call Fox and cubs (Hieracium aurantiacum) and White Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi alba.)

    Hi Sjoerd,
it was a warm day despite all the rain,..but i had to turn back for home,..dark clouds were gathering,..going along that river bank there are only about four houses to be seen for many many miles.

    Hi Eileen,
easy to see why you call Hieracium aurantiacum 'Fox and Cubs',..they are a similar colour to the Fox,..here we call it Hawkweed,..oh your Lychnis flos_cuculi alba you call it White Robin,..here its called the Cuckoo flower as it comes in bloom when the Cuckoo starts to make itself heard.

Beautiful as always! Your Molly has the biggest doggie grin I have ever seen. :D She looks to be a very nice companion for you. Boats and a water loving dog seem to go hand in hand. Huh? Not hard to take along for the ride, I would think.

Molly's adorable. She makes me want a dog again. :D I see we've got pretty much the same wildflowers, and they're blooming now too.

I love the photo of Molly all dripping wet posing among those yellow flowers.
Looks like you both had a good walk.

The flowers and insects are great but it is always a pleasure to see Molly along with you. She obviously enjoys the walks.

It sounds and looks like a great place for walking, contemplating and enjoying. You live in a nice place, Mr. Philip.

Phillip, I loved seeing the series of beautiful photos of your walk.
Molly is just precious! My old Missy is lying at my feet sound asleep. She used to love to go for big, long walks in the woods and fields. Not anymore *sigh*
