    Hello everyone,

This is my first post...I just signed up. I'd appreciate any help in identifying the following. I've been interested in Monarch butterflies for a while now and decided to try to raise them from the eggs on my property. The only problem is that I've turned and looked at hundreds and hundreds of milkweed leaves and haven't seen any eggs that resemble the ones online. I've got a macro lens on my camera and can't see any ridges on the eggs below.

Can anyone please tell me what else lays eggs on milkweed, and are any of the eggs on the following pictures monarch, queen or insect eggs?

    Thanks a bunch!

The ridges only show up when they begin to hatch, usually around a week after being laid.

Thanks so much!! I was so hoping they were Monarch eggs. I've never seen one hatch before, but they are all over my property. Recently though, their numbers have declined considerably, which is why I want to give them a hand.

I'll bring some home and post pictures as they progress. Thanks again!
