This is a plant in the garden of our new house. I am assuming it hasn't bloomed yet because of the not so warm summer we are having, but maybe it's just a late summer bloomer. I don't know what it is, the first thing that comes to my mind by the leaves is hibiscus. It is tree like. It's probably about 6 feet tall, with a hard wood trunk. unknown flower ( photo / image / picture from chloe3789's Garden ) moderator's note: added a more descriptive title to topic
Chloe - I think it's a Rose of Sharon, aka Althaea, hardy hibiscus. If so, it will make a small tree if not kept pruned. There's a wide variety of bloom colors too!!! They are late summer bloomers, mine are blooming now. Hang in there and let's see what color you have. mb
