I would love to have as many lovely blooms as you have Philip. Sadly, at this time of year everything is beginning to shut down here in preperation for winter. Many thanks for the photographs as they cheered me up.
Hi Eileen, your Autumn starts before mine,..not by very long but yours comes more severe,..plus this garden of mine is like a Sun Box,..i watched those 60 mph winds we had and they just brushed the tips of my 10 ft rose bushes while the remainder of the garden had hardly a breeze,..here is a warm welcome at this time of year,..captured yesterday,..Saturday the 8th. Gaillardia pulchella. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ---------------------------------------------------- Hi Deanna,..Hi Chocolate, both of you like that "Erysimum linifolium",'Variegatum',..i snipped a cutting from that plant very early in spring and it just took off,..it certainly is lasting out the full summer and into Autumn. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) Something else that i overlook until the scent hit me,.."Plectranthus madagascariensis",'Variegated Mintleaf'. Hmmmm... how could I turn my spot into a Sun Box too??? :-D Beautiful flowers you still have growing there Philip.
I like the mint too However, the next time I plant it I will make sure it is contained in a very thick pot!!!
Really lovely collection of plants still in bloom. It is so nice to see some colour this late in the season. It sounds like you have an ideal situation in your garden.

Hi Philip-- A treat as always! Thank you. I love the Campanula portenschlagiana, the gallardia is spectacular, and the pale pink hydrangea is lovely. So you have decomposed leaves & peat 24" thick for the gathering?
Did you know that the weed, Oxeye daisy,(well, its a weed here) was used to develop the shasta daisy. Lots of nice flowers you have there.
Hi Cayuga Morning, this compost mixed with tea bags looks like the ingredients for a Christmas Pudding, lol. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ------------------------------------------------------ Hi Kildale, oops you just came through as i posted,..i didn't know that about the Oxeye Daisy,..but i can see the resemblance,..interesting to know this for the future,..thank you.
