After our sad loss of our darling Busby I am pleased to say we have another little addition to our family. Brodie is a Flatcoated Retriever and is absolutely adoreable, typical of the breed with his ever wagging tail and lots of kisses. Here are some photos, one of which is the whole litter, 6 boys and 5 girls. A friend of mine commented that the one of him sitting in the garden made him look like a garden ornament :D He and Toby have got along great since the moment we brought him home, I think Toby is missing Busby as much as we are but he gets a bit worried when Brodie gets a bit too excited but he will learn to cope with that I am sure and probably put Brodie in his place :-D

Awww Pat Brodie is adorable. :D I'm so glad you have a new 'baby' in the family and I just know you're going to have years of fun, laughter and adventures together.

So glad you've found another dog to fill your heart. Toby is a good guy to accept a pup so willingly. That is one adorable puppy!

Our largest flatcoat stood about 26" at the shoulder stratsmom so they are quite big but really beautiful in their prime and a very happy dog. You may have already seen this photo of our Busby in his prime.

    Hi Pat,
delighted to see you are jumping in the deep end once again, :) ,..what a little beauty is Brodie,..poor Toby will be tormented for a spell until Brodie settles down,..i reckon you will be seeing Busby in little Brodies eyes,..and that will be a good thing.

Nearly two years have passed and I thought I would post the latest photo of Brodie. He has grown into a lovely dog, but the naughtiest one we have had. Having said that, the breed are known for their naughtiness :D This photo was taken on one of his runs where there is large lake, which as you can see he has been swimming in.
