Hi everyone! I have been sooo busy that I have not been able to work on any of my projects, but I have some time coming up so I am ready to get to work! I am trying to decide what color to paint my wooden furniture (tv stand and bookcase). Right now it is white but I want it to match some bronze furniture that is also in the room.. would painting in a dark bronze color be too much? I think my other options are brown and tan? but would that look weird on wooden furniture? Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks!
Can you buy a tester pot of the dark bronze paint by any chance? You could then try a patch of it on a part of either your TV stand or bookcase where it won't be seen. If it ties in with the rest of your furniture you can go ahead and get a larger pot of paint knowing just how it will look. If not then at least you've not wasted much money on a colour that you don't like.
That would still look nice, I would be more concerned about how it will tie in with the rest of your furniture. As long as it all works together, there's no problem painting wood a brown/tan/bronze color!
finished product! Hi everyone! Thanks so much for the responses.. sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I ended up painting the bookcase a tan with dark brown backs.. here is the finished product! bookcase! ( photo / image / picture from dawg803's Garden )
