Well in a few hours it is 1st.Dec and that means the start of summer, just to help those that have to 'bring plants in' and then'take plants out, cover from wild animals and then from the weather, here is a few of my summer flowers to help you through your cold season, I cant imagine snow at Christmas when we spend the day at the beach, where the sand is too hot to walk on! Lovely pics and of course the summer is on its way there. I hope that you will continue to post pics as things become warmer there. Our plants are shriveling-away to memory here now. Nice posting.
Boring?? How can you ever be boring Chocolate when you post beautiful photographs for us all? Your garden must have delicious scents wafting around it with those Frangipani and Jasmine. Please show us some more of your shots as it cheers us up when our days are cold and miserable.
..........What Eileen said! Nevvuh boring, I guarantee ya. We rely on you folks in the southern hemisphere to keep us supplied with lovely fotos while we are cold and gray.
Thanks everyone, well what about breakfast on the verandah...rush hour a bit jammy.... but there is room for all. Short billed corellas....always first to arrive ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) Then the rif-raf..no regard for signage. ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) move over please...lorikeets ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) private table! Gosh your birds are just so colourful and beautiful. We do have Ring Necked Parakeets down in England but, obviously, nothing as exotic as you have. Now that winter is here we do have quite a few different species visiting our Scottish gardens. If the rain ever clears up I'll try to get some pictures for you.
Yes please Eileen I would love to see some of your birds....I have a special interest in birds, and until recently kept white homing pigeons in my garden, they were a delight and each one had their little personality.
Which is more beautiful, your flowers or your bird visitors? I can't decide! Keep the photos coming since they give hope and solace to those of us who are "winterized" right now. Absolutely NOT boring!
Not boring, not at all! Beautiful blooms, and ones I am not familiar with. I think I may have seen Heliconia in an arrangement here. And the birds too...so colorful! Keep them coming!
Your photos are the complete opposite of boring!!! Please keep posting them. It's a real treat for me to see the flowers and birds that you get to see every day.
Oh! Oh! Oh! My 2 favorite things in the world flowers and birds. chocolate, I have hand fed so many of those Little Corella. The Goffins and Salmon Crested Cockatoo are by far my fav. Please keep the pictures coming??? Barb in Pa.
Oooh, I'm drooling! I love frangipani, and I've only seen your birds at the pet shops or in zoos. To my untrained eye you live in Paradise.
I am really, really glad you have summer when we have winter. I will be looking forward to pictures from the southern hemisphere to brighten up the dull days of winter. Spectacular birds and beautiful flowers. Thank you Chocolate. Jerry P.S. The last thing you would be is boring, keep the pictures coming!
My goodness you get a lot of birds coming to your place for dinner! Obviously they get a good meal! Love the flowers too! I still haven't ever grown Heliconias, despite the fact I live here in the tropics! Maybe in the near future as your photo reminded me just how spectacular they are!
