Done!! The official unofficial name of the temporarily unidentified GardenStew plant previously designated by the innocuous number of 12-04-2011_4:30 is Jessie. If of course there are no objections from a higher power. Jerry Back to the books!
I'm away from a PC for a few days in a few hours (and bed first) so hopefully by the time I come back someone (or the higher power?) will have given Jessie a boring Latin name.
I've had an answer ... and it seems to be right ... Pericallis formerly known as Cineraria or Senecio. It is native to Madeira and the Canaries - the hybrid Senetti
Great. Where did you find the answer? BTW, I really do like the color of this plant, foliage and flower.
Oh, good! I kept looking at that plant and was convinced I'd seen it before. I had. It was the white-ringed hybrid. We used them for summer colour a few years back. Thanks for posting the name.
I'm so glad you, finally, got an ID for your plant Beanich but, somehow, Jerry's 'Et scietis nomen incognitum' will always come to my mind when I see one in the future.
